The Prime Minister and Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Duncan have agreed to meet a delegation of First Nations leaders next Friday.

But Danny Metatawabin, a spokesperson for Chief Theresa Spence says the Attawapiskat chief will continue her hunger strike until that meeting begins.

It’s not clear whether Spence will be at the January 11th meeting.

A spokesman for Spence didn’t answer a questions about whether she would attend, but reiterated that her hunger strike would continue until the meeting happened.

Spence has been subsisting mainly on fish-broth  since December 11th –  living in a tent on frigid Victoria Island on the Ottawa River, just upstream from Parliament Hill.
