The N-H-L-P-A’s negotiating committee and executive board will hold a conference call this afternoon to discuss an offer from the league.
Sources say it’s a 10-year deal with a mutual option for both parties to opt out after eight years.
Sources also say the league has softened its demands in key areas of collective bargaining with a comprehensive offer that includes compliance buyouts and less restrictive rules on player contracts.
