A relic of a bygone era.
That’s how Ontario’s Progressive Conservative leader describes the The Ontario Film Review Board.
The movie rating agency looks at all films, videos and DVDs shown in the province and gives them a rating.
Tim Hudak says it’s an example of unnecessary government interference and he wants it done away with.
He says Ontario could simply accept the ratings of other provinces or follow Newfoundland’s path of not having a rating system at all.
Hudak says if elected, a PC government would conduct a thorough review of all government services and eliminate ones that aren’t necessary.
