The  Israel Antiquities Authority and Google are celebrating today.

That’s because 5,000  high-resolution images of the Dead-Sea scrolls are now  available online.

The project is the  result of two years of scanning using technology developed by NASA.

Users can zoom-in on details of the scrolls, which contain versions of every book of the Hebrew Bible (except the Book of Esther), including one of the oldest known copies of Genesis.

Five scrolls were previously digitized, and posted online by the Israel Museum last year.
