Even U.S. President Barack Obama is frustrated by the 3-month old NHL lockout.  Obama told a Minneapolis TV station he won’t get his government involved in ending the labour dispute, but he is urging wealthy owners and players to stop the bickering.  “You guys make a lot of money, and you make a lot of money on the back of fans.  So, do right by your fans.  You can figure out how to spread out a bunch of revenue that you’re bringing in, but do right by the people who support you.  And I shouldn’t have to be involved in a dispute between really wealthy players and even wealthier owners.”

Representatives from the N-H-L and the players’ association made it into the same room with a federal mediator yesterday, and again failed to make any noticeable progress.
