There’s  an escalation in the dispute between the McGuinty government and the province’s teachers.

A published report says high-school teachers are saying they may withdraw extra-curricular activities for two years in protest of Bill 115.

Premier Dalton McGuinty says teachers’ unions should resolve their labour dispute with his government in the courts, not by depriving students of extracurricular activities.

Meanwhile, Elementary school teachers in three more school boards have announced they’ll walk off the job for a day this week.

The teachers say they’re protesting against provincial legislation that gives the government power to impose contracts and prohibit strikes but Premier McGuinty says he believes it’s about money.
