ONTARIO TEACHERS UP THEIR TACTICS

Union officials say Ontario high school teachers will not take part in extra-curricular activities starting next Monday.

It’s the next step in the teachers’ battle against the government’s controversial anti-strike law.

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation, says teachers and staff will show up for work 15 minutes before their scheduled start time, and leave immediately after work.

Union president Ken Coran says members are prepared to accept a wage freeze, but adds Bill 115 erodes their democratic rights for collective bargaining.
