Smoking not only damages the body, it could harm the mind as well.
The B-B-C reports that researchers at London’s King’s College have concluded that smoking “rots” the brain by damaging memory, learning and reasoning.
The study of 8800 people over 50 showed high blood pressure and being overweight also seemed to affect the brain, but to a lesser extent.
The King’s researchers are now investigating links between the likelihood of a heart attack or stroke and the state of the brain.
