The Royal Conservatory is being honoured by Canada Post – and not just with a stamp but a whole envelope.
It’s to commemorate The Royal Conservatory’s 125th Anniversary Year.
The special envelope depicts a young Conservatory student seated at a piano, seen from behind. A Canada Post spokesman says “The child facing away represents every child who has ever strived to learn their scales for their piano exam.”
The new envelope also emphasizes the role The Royal Conservatory has played in training generations of Canadian musicians and international stars including Glenn Gould, Oscar Peterson, David Foster and Diana Krall.
The envelope is available for $3 at select post offices across Canada, and online at CanadaPost.ca.
