Hopes last week that a solution might be near to end the NHL lockout have turned to disappointment.
Talks broke off on the weekend. NHL Player association Donald Fehr says the owners aren’t budging on their demands. Fehr says the league’s position appears to be, “we’re past the point of ‘give and take'”.
No new talks are scheduled, but the two sides will be in Toronto for Hall of Fame inductions, and they will be in touch to see if there’s any point of talking again.
Meanwhile, the lockout drags on. The league has cancelled 327 games so far.
