More than 230 photos of the late Marilyn Monroe were sold at auction in Poland for $750-thousand.
One famous photo of Monroe in ballerina costume sold for $20,000. Others show her with the likes of Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra and Alfred Hitchcock.
The photos were taken by fashion and celebrity photographer Milton Greene, who was a confidant and business partner of Monroe. The two formed a production company and produced such films as Bus Stop and The Prince and the Showgirl. Monroe also lived with Greene and his wife during part of the Fifties, and he was able to photograph her various moods.
