By the end of today the campaign for the leadership of the Ontario Liberal party is expected to become a race. One cabinet minister is already declared; another is about to join.
Glen Murray stepped down as Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities on Saturday, and announced his candidacy yesterday. Later today, former Municipal Affairs minister Kathleen Wynne is expected to join the leadership race.
Premier Dalton McGuinty ruled that anyone who wants to succeed him must resign from cabinet.
Liberals will elect a new leader and Ontario Premier the weekend of January 25th.
