Three novelists from Toronto and two from Kitchener-Waterloo make up the short list for the Governor General’s Literary Awards.
Former Scotiabank Giller Prize winner and Toronto emergency room doctor Vincent Lam has been shortlisted for “The Headmaster’s Wager.” He’s joined by Toronto’s Robert Hough for “Dr. Brinkley’s Tower” and Linda Spalding for “The Purchase”.
The other two nominees are Tamas Dobozy of Kitchener for “Siege 13” and Carrie Snyder of Waterloo for “The Juliet Stories”.
Other Toronto nominees include A.F. Moritz and Lisa Pasold in poetry, and Anusree Roy in Drama.
The winners will be announced November 28th at Rideau Hall.
