The Harper Conservatives have come under fire for a second day in Parliament over the expanding beef recall involving products from Alberta’s X-L Foods.
N-D-P leader Tom Mulcair accused the Conservatives of saying the agriculture minister isn’t responsible for food safety failures.
Prime Minister Harper responded that his government has added 700 food inspectors since 2006.
Earlier today, the Canadian Food Inspection agency added even more products to the cross-country recall, which was first issued early last month over fears the beef may be contaminated with E-coli.
