Twenty years of empowering women with cancer through the charitable program “Look Good Feel Better” is being celebrated by the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association Foundation. Zoomer Radio’s Libby Znaimer was one of the 20 woman honoured in Toronto on Thursday for helping women face cancer with hope, optimism, and courage. Libby explained, “when I was undergoing treatment, it was like being in a whole other world. And by the time I got out of bed, I figured out that if you did a reasonable job of your makeup, you could go out and just pass as a regular person. And that was something fantastic, because when you’re being treated for cancer, you’re in this bubble, and it’s all there is, and it’s really important to get away from it, and to feel like your old self sometimes.” The foundation has empowered over 130,000 women dealing with cancer.
