She has been a Broadway legend for years. But she says she’s had it with the Big Apple.
Elaine Stritch says she wants to get out of New York because it’s too fast for her. But the 87-year-old says that doesn’t mean she’s retiring. Stritch is now teaming up with producer Scott Glenn to do a play in Michigan. She won’t say what the play is, because they’re still working on securing the rights. But she called it “an old play.”
Elaine Stritch was in Toronto for the premiere of Show Stopper: The Theatrical Life of Garth Drabinsky at the Toronto International Film Festival. Stritch appeared in Drabinsky’s production of Showboat in Toronto and on Broadway.
