The leaders of both the Parti Quebecois and the Coalition for Quebec’s Future are calling this a historic voting day in Quebec.
P-Q Leader Pauline Marois says it could be a historic day if she becomes Quebec’s first-ever female premier.
Coalition leader Francois Legault also called the day historic, saying Quebecers have to stop being divided around the referendum question.
As he cast his ballot in Sherbrooke, Liberal Premier Jean Charest told reporters that it is very important for everyone to get out to vote .
