People in the Christie Pits area of Toronto’s Annex rallied last night against a series of sexual assaults in the area. It  was organized on Facebook by members of the community.

Area politicians joined the march to show their support, including City Councillor Mike Layton and MPPs Rosario Marchese and Cheri DiNovo. DiNovo says it’s sad that women still can’t walk city streets in safety.

Police are still looking for a suspect in the string of ten assaults. The suspect is described as a black male, 25-to-40-years-old, six feet tall with short black hair and wearing black clothing.
