It’s almost three years since former Ontario Attorney – General Michael Bryant’s life changed – on Bloor street in Toronto .
That’s when he was involved in a road-rage incident that claimed bicycle courier “Darcy Allen Sheppard’s” life.
Criminal charges against Bryant were eventually dropped and he says the book he’s written about the devastating experience was painful – but necessary:
“28 Seconds: A True Story of Addiction, Injustice and Tragedy” also reveals for the first time Bryant’s own battle with alcoholism.
Bryant quit drinking in 2006.
He was sober on the fateful night of August 31st, 2009, while out with his then-wife Susan celebrating their anniversary.
