Four years ago in Beijing, it took a week.  But at the London Olympics,  it was only two days in when Canada won a first medal.   And it might not be much longer before our nation’s medal count increases.  Canada’s men’s eight boat advanced this morning to Wednesday’s gold medal race. Two Canadians are vying for medals in judo today, and we could also win a medal in fencing.

Canadian tennis players are off to a good start.  Both Milos Raonic and Aleksandra Wozniak won their first round matches to advance.

It was an exciting day yesterday, as Quebec synchronized divers Emilie Haymans and Jennifer Abel won bronze in the three metre event.
