Ontario’s top literary awards were handed out last night in Toronto.
Four Ontario authors were given Trillium Awards.
The English language award that comes with a $20,000 prize went to Phil Hall for ”Book Thug,” published by Killdeer.
The French-language award went to Michele Vinet for ”Jeudi Novembre.” published by Editions Prise de parole.
This year’s top prize for English-language poetry when to Nick Thran for ”Earworm,” published by Nightwood Editions.
And the Trillium award for Poetry in French went to Sonia Lamontagne for “A tire d’ailes,” also published by Editions Prise de parole.
The winning poets each receive $10,000.
