According to authorities, Russia fired 16 missiles and 13 Shahed drones at energy facilities and critical infrastructure during an overnight attack on Ukraine.

On Saturday, officials in Kyiv said the attacks damaged energy facilities in the country’s southeast and west, injuring at least two energy workers.

Ukraine’s air force reported that its defenses intercepted 12 of the 16 missiles and all 13 of the drones that were launched by Russia.

According to the power grid operator Ukrenergo, the strikes damaged equipment at facilities in Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporizhzhia and western Lviv regions.

Local officials said two energy workers were injured in the Zaporizhzhia region.

With no significant changes reported along the 1,000-kilometre front line, both sides in the on-going war have set their sights on infrastructure targets.
