Time to roll up both sleeves and get some renewed protection against the flu and COVID-19.
Starting today, Ontario residents six months and older will be able to get both a free flu shot and the new COVID-19 vaccine.
The province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Doctor Kiren Moore, says with flu season underway and COVID variants still very much with us, it’s a good idea to get both.
Ontario Health Minister Sylvia Jones says both shots are available for free at participating pharmacies, through primary care providers and at your local public health unit. And she says “yes,” it is safe to get both at the same time, but authorities suggest you got one jab in one arm, the second in the other.
