He was known for the slacker, beach lifestyle which permeated much of his music.

But he never stopped making and recording music and we have word this morning that Jimmy Buffet’s final album will be out this week.

It’s called “Equal Strain on All Parts.”  It was recorded earlier this year and finished before Buffett died September 1st at the age of 76.

Guest musicians playing on the album include Sir Paul McCartney, Emmylou Harris and the Preservation Hall Jazz band.

“Equal Strain on All Parts” drops Friday.
