How has Olivia Chow made out during her first 100 days as Toronto’s mayor?

“I think she’s been a relentless advocate for the City of Toronto,” Toronto City Councillor Mike Colle told The Morning Zoom with Sam and Jane on Zoomer Radio, “She’s been everywhere and never stops, plus she’s got a great attitude. She’s always got a smile on her face and she’s really trying to work collaboratively with the feds and the province and with all of the councillors. So it’s been a great start, I think.”

Mayor Chow also has an approval rating in the 70-plus percent range as she’s had some success so far in the overriding issue of Toronto’s 1.5 billion dollar budget shortfall.

“I’ve met with Premier Ford. We have a working group, we’re looking at different revenue tools. We are working with the federal government to say please take care of some of the refugees. There’s a huge number of refugees coming to Toronto,” Mayor Chow told CP24 Friday morning.

And after 100 days, the mayor also explained the other priority is getting the city back into building affordable rental housing.
