Toronto’s Alcohol in the Parks pilot program is being extended until the end of March.

Councillor Paula Fletcher says there’s no point starting and stopping the program and the city needs to let people adapt to it for a reasonable period of time.

City of Toronto staff will report back to council in November to include an updated list of participating parks and any additional safety restrictions required for the winter season.

At the same time, Councillors whose parks were part of the initial pilot program can opt out if they don’t want to participate in the extended period.
