Three males are under arrest in connection with an incident over the lunch hour at TanenbaumCHAT(Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto).

It’s being investigated as a hate crime after a verbal threat was made towards the school in the Dufferin-Sheppard neighbourhood.

School security immediately called 911 and police responded quickly, including Police Chief Myron Demkiw, who congratulated officers on the fast arrests.

This happened not long after the chief announced residents will see more police presence in coming days around schools, places of worship and cultural centres.

Meanwhile, police are investigating two of their own for alleged hate postings.

One is a 23 Division constable, the other’s a special constable in the Community Safety Unit, employed by Toronto Community Housing.
