Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has created a wartime cabinet that aims to oversee the fight to avenge the Israeli citizens killed by Hamas terrorists over the weekend.

The Hamas attacks have left at least 1300 people dead in Israel.

At least 1200 people have been killed in Gaza in retaliatory Israeli airstrike.

Canada’s military has dispatched two large passenger jets to begin evacuations of Canadians from Israel via Athens as early as Thursday evening.

Canada’s foreign affairs minister provided an update on the plan Wednesday and also revealed the federal government is sending a small team of negotiating experts to Israel to assist in efforts to free 150 hostages held in Gaza by Hamas terrorists.

But Melanie Joly refused to say whether any of the three Canadians known to be missing in Israel are among those held hostage.

A Canadian who may be among the hostages has been identified by Irwin Cottler as 22 year old Shir Hanna Georgy.

Cotler is a former Liberal justice minister and international chair of the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights.

He identified the potential Canadian hostage in a post on X, formerly Twitter, and says Canada must lead joint international diplomacy for all hostages.
