Canada’s Juno Awards are laying out new submission rules to ensure that Artificial Intelligence doesn’t create robot-led songs that get nominated.

Junos’ President Allan Reid says the rules are meant to ensure that humans and not A-I remain the “sole or core component” of future Juno-nominated projects.  But says also says this is just the beginning and the rules and industry will have to evolve as A I and its uses evolve.

Juno submissions open Monday, September 18th.

The Juno awards show is set next March in Halifax.
