Still nothing confirmed from the producers but a Canadian is said to be in the running to direct the next two films featuring the world’s best known secret agent.

According to sources at World Of Reel, Bond producer Barbara Broccoli is “zeroing in” on the next director with Canada’s Denis Villeneuve in the mix.

Along with the “Dune” director, others said to be under consideration are “Oppenheimer” director Christopher Nolan, “Trainspotting’s” Danny Boyle and Paul Greengrass of “Bourne Supremacy” fame.

Talks have apparently been delayed by the Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strikes.

And there is also still no word on who will play 007 with the retirement from the role by Daniel Craig.
