American musician Gary Wright, best known for his 1970s hit songs “Dream Weaver” and “Love Is Alive” has died.
Wright’s son, Justin, says his father had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia for the past six years.
The New Jersey-born singer-songwriter died Monday morning at his home in southern California, surrounded by family and friends. Wright resided in with wife Rose in Palos Verdes Estates, whom he married in 1985.
Gary Wright was 80.
