She was an actress who played the unconventional Calliope Jones on the soap opera “Days of our Lives” but was perhaps best known for voicing “Harley Quinn” in the animated “Batman” series for DC comics in the early 1990s.

Arleen Sorkin died on Saturday in Los Angeles.  She had been suffering from various health issues in recent years, which prevented her from working.

Sorkin has been praised by Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill, who played The Joker in the series, calling her “Not just a wonderful talent… but a truly wonderful person.”

Arleen Sorkin was 67.
