Bob Barker, the legendary host of the long-running American television game show “The Price is Right” has died at the age of 99.

Barker’s publicist confirmed his death early Saturday afternoon.

In addition to his 35-year tenure on “The Price is Right” from 1972 until 2007, Barker will also be remembered for his animal rights activism.

In 2014, Barker personally footed the bill of nearly $1 million dollars to have three elephants relocated from the Toronto Zoo to the PAWS Sanctuary in California.

Many will also remember his hilarious cameo role where he played himself in the hit comedy movie “Happy Gilmore” alongside Adam Sandler.

He also hosted “Truth or Consequences” from 1956 to 1975.

In 1967, Barker began a 20-year run as emcee of the Miss Universe and Miss America pageants, and in 1969 he started a long run as the host of the New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.

Bob Barker died at his home of natural causes. He would have turned 100 on December 12th.
