One of the mainstays of the last three James Bond films says he thinks the entire franchise needs to be renewed or it may “Die Another Day”.

Ben Whishaw, who played gadget wizard “Q” was asked how they can bring back the world’s best known secret agent after 007 died at the end of the most recent film “No Time to Die” and Daniel Craig exited the role.

Whishaw had no answer to that, but said he really believes the producers should be working toward a world where anyone can play anything. suggesting the next Bond-like character could be gay.

Whishaw is (at the moment) not contracted for any more Bond films.
