The federal government is getting set to roll out new COVID-19 boosters as researchers begin to suspect we are entering a new fall COVID wave.

In the Toronto area there are already indications of that with a small increase in case counts and outbreaks in institutions .

Toronto Public Health says the new updated vaccine is expected to cover a group of new Omicron subvariants and everyone who is eligible should get the shot.

However, TPH says if you are currently not up to date on your vaccinations you should wait until the new booster becomes available in a few weeks time.
