Legendary Italian soprano Renata Scotto has passed away

She was one of the most revered sopranos of her generation; known for her sense of style, musicality and as a great singing actress.

Over the course of her career she played all the great opera houses including La Scala in Italy, the Bolshoi in Moscow., the Met in New York and at the Edinburgh Festival.

Renata Scotto was 89.
