CFL fans and particularly Toronto Argonaut fans are mourning the passing of one of the great kickers of all time.
Oakville’s Zenon Andrusyshyn is etched into the Argo’s record book as the result of his ten years in double blue.
He was taken out of UCLA in the 9th round of the NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys in 1970.
He then played for the Argos and in 1977, booted a 108-yard punt against Edmonton that broke the all-time record for punt length and still stands to this day.
He also had stints with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, the Hamilton Ti-Cats, the Montreal Allouettes and the Tampa Bay Bandits of the USFL
Zenon Andrusyshyn died Tuesday at his home in Florida.
He was 76.
