Air travellers, frustrated by the lack of information when their flights are late in taking off, will be glad to know where they may find out the reason or reasons.

Nav Canada, the air navigation service provider, has a new online account on X, which tracks and explains the causes of any delays at Pearson, Montreal-Trudeau, Calgary and Vancouver International Airports.

Former Air Canada COO Duncan Dee calls it a ”positive” move.

”We’ve seen a disproportionate number of air traffic control delays and so what I think Nav Canada is trying to do is provide greater clarity for the reasons for those delays.”

Nav Canada has admitted some are caused by not enough air traffic controllers.

It’s training over 400 and aims to recruit even more.
