As much of Ontario continues to bake under a heat warning, the head of the United Nations is once again sounding the alarm on global warming.

 

Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says dramatic, immediate climate action is needed before its too late.

Guterres spoke as Southern Europe fights extreme heat and wildfires.

In Italy, firefighters are battling brush fires in the southern mainland, while in Greece a wildfire forced a busy highway to close for several hours.

Meantime, The U-N’s World Meteorological Organization is marking July as the hottest month ever recorded in human history.
