The music world has lost a giant with the passing of Tony Bennett.

Frank Sinatra once said for his money, Tony Bennett was the best singer in the business.

His publicist says Bennett often talked about creating a hit catalog, rather than hit records, which he did.

His career lasted more than 70-years and featured more than 70 albums, some of them recorded with other artists, like Canada’s k.d.lang.

Tony Bennett died this morning at the age of 96.
