On England’s Isle of Wight they’re celebrating the first white-tailed eagle, born in the south of England, in 240-years.
The father is a rare white-tailed sea eagle from Scotland who was introduced to the nature park in 2021.
Conservationists are calling it a “landmark” moment in their mission to return the lost species to the country as this is the first successful breeding attempt by Forestry England and the Wildlife Foundation’s project.
The location of the nest is being kept a secret for the birds’ welfare, in case they return there to breed again.
