Some 35 participants from around the globe will compete in second “Chopin Piano Competition on Period Instruments.”

The period instrument competition was launched in 2018 and is intended to promote historically informed performances of Fredrich Chopin’s 19th century works and to get as close as possible to the original sound of his music.

The participants will perform on historic pianos or on copies of period instruments.

The three-stage competition will take place October 5th to the 15th at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw.
