IMMUNIZATION EXPERTS: GET ANOTHER COVID BOOSTER THIS FALL

Early advice from Canada’s immunization advisory panel to get another COVID-19 vaccine booster in the fall, if it’s been at least six-months since your last dose or infection.
The National Advisory Committee or Immunization (NACI) says the formula of the doses will updated in order to target more recent, immune-evasive variants.
The committee also continues to strongly recommend that anyone 5 and older who has not yet received a shot to do so with a primary two-dose series of an m RNA vaccine.
In addition, NACI has a ”discretionary recommendation” that children between six-months and 5, who haven’t yet been vaccinated get the two-dose primary series of an mRNA vaccine.
The experts say the bivalent mRNA vaccines can be used for those getting their initial two-dose series
