A decision in the Aretha Franklin will dispute could come as early as today.

More than five years after her death, Franklin’s estate is still tied up in a suburban Detroit court which will determine whether a hand written document found in a couch,  or another hand written item found in her house, is Aretha’s actual will.

She died 2018 at the age of 76 without a formal type written will

Edward Franklin’s lawyer Craig Smith says a jury verdict is expected by 5 this afternoon after her two sons gave opposing opinions about the Queen of Soul’s final wishes yesterday.

Her overall assets are pegged at $4.1 million in real estate and cash.
