It is our first hot and humid weather of the summer season far, prompting a Heat Warning from Environment Canada.
For Tuesday and Wednesday in the GTA, and maybe into Thursday for points east, we will see high temperatures in the low 30s, but the humidity could make it feel like the low 40s because of the moisture in the air.
The warning says hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and result in the Air Quality Index approaching the high risk category.
We are reminded extreme heat affects everyone and advised to drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place to lessen risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
Toronto gets back to a seasonal high of 26 on Thursday.
