Canada Day is a statutory holiday which falls on Saturday this year.
Because of that some businesses and services that normally run on the weekend will be closed.
That includes most banks, government offices, including Service Ontario and Toronto Public Libraries.
GO Transit will run on its Saturday schedule
The TTC will run on its holiday schedule.
All LCBO stores will be close Saturday, although some municipalities may have LCBO Convenience Outlets open
Select beer store outlets will be offering delivery services from both Skip The Dishes and Uber Eats
Most grocery stores will also be shuttered but some Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall stores will be open. Shoppers are encouraged to check their local store’s holiday hours online.
Toronto’s main Canada Day celebrations are set for Nathan Phillip Square and Ashbridges Bay.
