Today is the day fans of the world travelling archeologist and finder of antiquities have been waiting for.
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is in theatres today.
It’s Indiana Jones Five and the final turn for Harrison Ford who is 80 and hanging up Indie’s fedora for good.
Producer Frank Marshall says he has no plans to recast the character.
In his final outing, Doctor Jones is reintroduced in thread bare boxer shorts and something alcoholic in his hand, depressed after retiring from the university where no one was paying him much attention anyway.
From there it’s game on with action sequences from the train in 1944, to a deep-sea diving sequence with killer eels, to a rickshaw chase in Tangier.
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” runs for 144 minutes and is rated PG-13.
