VETERAN ACTOR NICOLAS COSTER DIES AT 89

He was a prolific actor whose career spanned decades on television and the silver screen.

Nicolas Coster has died at age 89.

Born in England, but raised mostly in California, Coster studied at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

Finding success in soaps, he played a fiendish kidnapper in All My Children and zany businessman Lionel Lockridge on Santa Barbara, as well regular or recurring roles on One Life to Live, As the World Turns and Another World.

On the big screen Coster played an evasive lawyer in the 1976 film All the President’s Men alongside Robert Redford’s Bob Woodward.

The 1980’s saw Coster making appearences on several TV series, including Hart to Hart, Police Squad!, Simon & Simon, Knight Rider, L.A. Law, Thirtysomething and Matlock.

On social media Nicolas Coster’s daughter said he died on Monday at a hospital in Florida.

A cause of death was not given.
