Another day in the Toronto mayoral race, another poll.

And as in every survey since she entered the campaign, Olivia Chow continues to lead.

The Liaison Strategies poll gives her 30-percent support among decided voters.

But it’s second and third place which continue to switch up depending on the polling company.

Wednesday’s Mainstreet Research poll had Ana Bailao in second at 17-percent of decided voter support with Mark Saunders in third at 14-percent.

David Valentin of Liason says his new poll shows a different story.

“More often than not we’ve seen Mark Saunders in second place,” Valentin told CP24, “But this week Josh Matlow tied with Mr. Saunders for second.”

As for the rest of the pack, Ana Bailao is next with 11 percent, while Mitzie Hunter and Anthony Furey are tied at with 8 percent, followed by Brad Bradford at 5 percent.

But fewer people are now undecided, at 13 percent.

“It’s important to know that even the people who are telling us they’re voting for Olivia Chow, Josh Matlow, Mark Saunders, they’re human beings and human beings change their minds,” Valentin explained, “So, there should be some more movement in any direction quite frankly, as we get closer to election day (June 26th), but I think what’s interesting to see (is) how many people decide to vote and whether the voting population actually matches Toronto’s general population.”

With 11 days until the byelection, the seven leading candidates for Toronto’s next mayor are participating in another debate Thursday evening.

The televised event begins at 7pm and will focus on key campaign issues including housing, affordability, public safety and traffic congestion.
