RCMP and paramedics in Manitoba are responding to a mass casualty collision on Highway 1 west of Winnipeg.
It’s being reported that at least 15 are dead after the crash near the town of Carberry.
A spokesman for Manitoba’s Shared Health says a Code Orange was called to prepare for an influx of patients.
All available RCMP resources in the province have been deployed to respond to the crash and are urging drivers to avoid the area and have close a three kilometre area around the crash site.
Carberry is roughly 160 kilometres west of Winnipeg and about three kilometres south of Highway 1 where it meets Highway 5.
